Today’s weather is a bit cloudy. Why not just go to the beach?
A great day started with a great breakfast in Bar Bellaccino in 2 York Street.
With an Australian TV programme called Bondi Rescue, I believe everyone is very familiar with the Bondi Beach. After our homemade breakast, we took a train to Bondi Junction station. There are a lot of shops, pharmacy (with cheap price) and malls nearby the station. You can spend 2-3 hours shopping there without a doubt.
The Bondi Junction station is very far away from the Bondi Beach. It took me 30 minutes on foot to arrive at the beach. It was a pleasant walk.
Right next to the beach, there is a swimming club called the Iceberg Club. This Iceburg Club is very famous because of its beautiful swimming pool. This swimming pool has been a landmark in Bondi for almost 100 years. The feeling of sea waves crashes into the swimming pool is just amazing. We stayed at the corner of the swimming pool which is the closest to the sea. The air there is full of a smell of addictive fresh oysters.
Surprisingly, the entry fee is not expensive and it costs 7 AUD. Another highlight of this Iceberg Club is it’s Ocean View Sauna. The normal sauna just traps you inside a wooden box. This sauna has a big glass window that you can overlook on the Pacific Ocean.
I strongly recommend readers to visit this pool. As I said the weather today was cloudy, it makes the pool freezingly cold. But the sauna compensates everything by giving you warmth. Please also note that they sell food inside the pool. Feel free to grab a lunch after swimming!
Some more picture of the Bondi Beach.
As recommended by a friend, Bucket List is a restaurant being very famous in Bondi Beach. It is obvious that we have to visit it.
The price is fair and acceptable. It’s very full so we didn’t have dinner at night.
The chemist near the Bondi Junction station is very economic. Therefore, we didn’t catch the 380 bus which directly goes to Circular Quay from Bondi Beach. Instead, we took off at Bondi Junction station to continue our shopping.
On the way to the Bondi beach from the station, there is a very big shop selling various kind of beer, wine, and liquor. This shop is called Kemeny’s.
